Frequently asked
How many people can travel in a Chale auto?
The auto category is configured for up to three seats. The seat count shown when you book is the one your city is actually configured with.
Can I book an auto for someone else?
Yes. Set their pickup point and destination and pass on the start code when the captain arrives — the code is what begins the trip.
What if no auto is available?
Chale tells you plainly that no captain accepted, rather than leaving you waiting. You can try again or choose a bike or car instead.
Is the fare different at night or in the rain?
Pricing rules — including any time-of-day or demand modifiers — are configured by the operations team per city and applied on the server. Whatever applies to your trip is included in the amount you see before you book.
